What is the right color for me?
Black hair people with black hair has a great difficulty dying it to another color.
Black hair is of course the last color in the natural color wheel.
In order to achieve a brown, red, or blond highlight you have to prelighten the hair to the level desired.
When you want a light brown highlight or a red with bright color you have to prelighten the hair more than three levels using bleach and a high level peroxide.
Once you have colored the hair you have taken on the responsibility of keeping up the maintenance, which will last until you decide to grow it out or cut it out.
The clip on highlights can be used without such a long term decision.
Basically any color of highlights will go well with black hair.
This color can sometimes look a bit wishy washy, so tip the scales with a strong bright blond to break the contrast and add flare be careful though!
If you are a warm tone person bright blond can wash you out.
